Building As Landscape

2012, M.Arch. Studio, Final Project

Group project with Jared Moore and Chris Felegie, under professor Kate Schwennsen. View full boards here (12000 x 12000). This was a proposal for a dormitory on the Clemson campus. The basic concept of "Building as Landscape" was to create more natural habitat than is destroyed in the creation of a building, via the use of extensive greenwall and greenroof systems. The facade was modeled using Grasshopper to create uniquely-sized and angled green panels (sensor-driven environmental control), which conform to the wall surfaces that are slightly double-curvature. My partners Jared and Chris deserve praise for the quality of the renderings.
